Position Overview

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is expanding to serve our community better. The Department of Family Medicine at LVHN is seeking a dedicated family medicine physician to serve as the fellowship director for their newly approved Addiction Medicine Fellowship. This role involves developing and overseeing the addiction medicine fellowship within a community-based academic setting, working closely with faculty and staff to ensure high-quality training.

The fellowship aims to recruit diverse fellows committed to innovative training in an interconnected learning environment, bridging academia and community health through partnerships and programming. It provides strong inpatient, outpatient, and community-based experiences, preparing graduates to manage substance use disorders and comorbidities across the lifespan.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external leaders to advance addiction medicine education.
• Clinically work in a family medicine practice, providing care to patients with substance use disorders.
• Manage a patient panel, including referrals from other family medicine physicians.
• Partner with the Opioid Use Disorder Center of Excellence for virtual consults and patient care.
