Job summary

Samuel Contract Staffing invites a Staff Physician (Family Medicine) to join our North Florida FQHC network. The role focuses on lifelong patient care, health promotion, and prevention across all ages, with a fast-paced workflow and after-hours coverage where needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school with an MD or DO degree.
• Florida license, active DEA certification, and BLS certification.
• Board Certification in Family Medicine must be maintained.
• Prior experience in an FQHC environment is highly preferred.
• Clinical pace: capable of 25+ patients per day in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct primary care and preventive services across all ages.
• Perform physical exams, diagnostic screenings, and treatment planning.
• Prescribe medications following state laws and guidelines.
• Participate in after-hours triage and cover regional sites as needed.
• Maintain EHRs, support QA/QI initiatives, and mentor staff.

Job Summary:

• Position Title: Staff Physician (Family Medicine).
• Location: North Florida (Multiple regional sites available).
• Employment Type: Full-Time.
• Target Patient Volume: High-energy environment with a minimum of 25 patients per day.
• Compensation Model: Uncapped earning potential driven by a competitive base salary plus Quality & Productivity (Q&P) incentives:
  • Years 1 & 2: $235,000 guaranteed base salary + Q&P incentives.
  • Year 3+: Transition to an optimized alignment structure (reduced base salary & Q&P + a $25 encounter bonus paid monthly based on month-to-date volume).
• Additional Bonus Potential:
  • Quarterly Bonus: Up to $6,000 per quarter ($24,000/year max).
  • Semi-Annual Bonus: Up to $12,000 semi-annually ($24,000/year max).

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lifespan Patient Care: Deliver direct primary care, health promotions, and disease prevention strategies tailored to the family unit across the patient’s entire lifespan (all ages, including both adults and children).
• Clinical Evaluations: Perform comprehensive physical exams, run diagnostic screenings, formulate clinical treatment plans for acute/chronic illnesses, and prescribe medications in accordance with state laws.
• On-Call & Coverage: Participate in shared after-hours triage/contact rotations and cover alternative regional clinic sites during peer provider absences.
• Administrative & Compliance: Maintain electronic health records (EHR), contribute data for UDS and grant applications, and participate in ongoing QA/QI initiatives under direction of the Chief Medical Officer.
• Team Leadership: Assume clinical supervision, coaching, and mentoring of staff ARNPs, Physician Assistants, and medical assistants in accordance with Florida statutory requirements.

Skills, Experience & Requirements:

• Education & Credentials: Graduate of an accredited medical school with an M.D. or D.O. degree.
• Licensure: Current, valid, and unrestricted physician license in the State of Florida, an active DEA certification, and a current BLS certification.
• Board Status: Must maintain active Board Certification in Family Medicine.
• Core Philosophies: A genuine passion and "heart" for serving underserved and vulnerable patient populations. Prior experience working within an FQHC environment is highly preferred.
• Clinical Pace: Demonstrated experience and high comfort level managing a fast-paced clinic workflow of 25+ patients per day.
• Technical Skills: Strong technical proficiency navigating Electronic Health Records and Microsoft Office suite products (Word, Excel).
