Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking a Family Medicine Physician in Baton Rouge, LA, to provide specialized wound care with Monday–Friday schedules and no after-hours requirements. This role offers full-time or part-time options and an opportunity to earn substantial compensation through a per-patient/per-procedure pay model.

• Open background; training provided for wound care.
• No prior wound care experience required; training provided will be supplied.

• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing wounds.
• Apply advanced dressings and wound protocols.

Family Medicine Physician Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds

• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing

Family Medicine Physician Salary & Compensation

Full-Time Average Annual Earnings: $250,000 - $500,000 (no earning cap as an independent contractor)

High Achievers: Top performers earn $500,000+ through performance bonuses

Pay Structure: Per-patient and per-procedure pay, plus quarterly bonus programs

Family Medicine Schedule

We offer consistent weekday schedules with no nights or weekends, in part-time or full-time options:

• Part-Time: 2-3 days per week
• Full-Time: 4-5 days per week

Family Medicine Physician Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome Family Medicine physicians, as well as Internal Medicine physicians and surgeons of all backgrounds. No previous wound care or procedural experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training
