Job summary

Skilled Wound Care, a premier national physician group, is hiring Family Medicine Physicians in Alexandria, LA to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This role offers a no-call, Monday–Friday schedule with opportunities for hands-on procedures and clinical autonomy.

We provide comprehensive wound care training; this position supports both part-time and full-time options, with competitive pay structures including per-patient and per-procedure pay plus quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open background: no prior wound care or procedural experience required; comprehensive wound care training provided.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing.

Education

• Average Annual Earnings: $200,000-250,000 (no earning cap as an independent contractor)

Family Medicine Schedule

We offer consistent weekday schedules with no nights or weekends, in part-time or full-time options:

• Part-Time: 2-3 days per week
