Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System (SAVAHCS) in scenic Tucson, Arizona is currently looking for a primary care physician.

Position Information:

The Healthcare System emphasizes the delivery and continuity of patient care. The Primary Care Staff Physician provides direct patient care to Veterans and works as part of a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT), which is patient-centered and interdisciplinary.

This position will work out of the Women's Health Clinic at the Main Campus in Tucson, AZ. Duties include:

• Providing comprehensive care to adult patients, from young adults to the elderly.
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to support VA quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Providing direct patient care, including ordering tests, prescribing medications (including contraceptives), consulting with specialists, and managing electronic medical records.
• Adhering to professional standards and values to ensure service excellence.

Requirements:

• US Citizen
• Active and unrestricted license in any US state
• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
• Residency training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine in any US state
• Work schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Eligible for flexible work schedules
• Not a telework position
