Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (APN) for a Family Medicine clinic in Chicago. The role is a mix of clinical and administrative duties, with independent practice and collaboration with attending physicians. Expected to see acute patients only, about 8 per day, with a schedule of 5 days per week and rotating Saturdays.

Requirements include a Master's in Nursing, IL NP license, ACLS, BLS, and DEA. Spanish language skills are preferred to improve patient access and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing is required.
• BLS credential from AHA before hire date.
• ACLS certification required.
• NP license/registration with Illinois IDPR before hire date.
• DEA registration before hire date.

Responsibilities

• See acute patients in Family Medicine clinic (approx. 8 per day).
• Work 5 days per week with rotating Saturdays.
• Administrative duties: triage EMR inboxes, refill medications, review labs.
• Cover physicians on PTO/medical leave.
• EPIC Inbox management for assigned physicians.
• Spanish language skills preferred to support patient access.
