Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program OR One (1) year of clinical experience.
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of healthcare education coursework.
• One (1) year of healthcare experience.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms; obtains initial information and vital signs.
• Prepares exam rooms for patients with attention to cleanliness and availability of supplies.
• Assists with and/or performs exams, tests, and procedures.
• Schedules appointments and sets up referral contacts as needed.
• Assists provider during patient examinations and procedures.
• Educates patients on follow‑up expectations.
• Maintains quality‑control testing logs as required.
• Ensures all medical equipment is in proper working condition.
• Assists patients with completion of medical documentation.
• Assists with office administrative tasks (answering phones, taking messages, copying, printing, data entry, etc.) and assists with depositing cash and other closing duties.

Physical Requirements

• Medium work – exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, rotate, stand and walk for an 8‑12 hour shift.

Working Environment

• Working closely with others.
• Working protracted or irregular hours.
• Working around biohazards and infectious diseases.
• Working with hands in water.
• May be required to travel between facilities.
