Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Formal training with competency validation if practice acquisition.
• Minimum six months front/back medical office experience; two years preferred.
• California Driver’s License required if hiring into Float Pool.
• Ability to maintain composure in fast-paced environments and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians with a variety of patient care procedures.
• Float between departments as required.
• Process outside referrals including HMO and PPO and notify outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure patient safety.
