Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, room patients, and perform essential clerical and environmental tasks in our clinic setting. You will help with scheduling, EPIC charting, and patient education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; may require MA/CNA/EMT/Paramedic program completion or certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as MA/CNA/EMT/ACA/PCA/paramedic or phlebotomist; new graduates may be considered.
• Certification (CCMA/CMA/AAMA/RMA) preferred; BLS preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsabilités

• Assist physicians with patient care; explain roles of care team to patients.
• Perform administrative tasks: scheduling, chart management, and handling patient records in EPIC.
• Maintain infection control and clean exam rooms and equipment between visits.
• Ensure prompt billing, patient confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance.
• Coordinate with care team for patient-centered initiatives and education materials.
• Contribute to ongoing quality improvement and staff communications.
