Job summary

WellSpan Health in Chambersburg, PA is recruiting a full-time, board-certified Family Medicine physician with teaching experience to join our inaugural ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency Program. This on-site role offers opportunities to shape curriculum, recruit and mentor residents, and collaborate with two WellSpan FM residencies within the system.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Family Medicine physician with teaching experience.
• Experience with residency education preferred.
• Academic and clinical teaching capability.

Responsibilities

• Participate in resident recruitment, evaluation, and professional development.
• Shape the curriculum and clinical rotations to meet ACGME standards.
• Mentor and advise residents in the 6-6-6 program.
• Engage with the community and contribute to lifelong wellness initiatives.
• Collaborate with two FM residencies within WellSpan system.
• Pursue future academic opportunities with Temple University campus.

Family Medicine Faculty

Location: Chambersburg, PA - Driving Distance from Baltimore and Washington, D.C., halfway between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.

WellSpan Health, a mission-driven, physician-led integrated health system, is seeking a full-time, board-certified Family Medicine physician with teaching experience to join our ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency Program in scenic Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

This is a unique opportunity to be on the ground floor of our inaugural residency program, supported by a deeply committed academic and clinical team. Be part of a health system that values innovation, collaboration, and community impact.

Position Highlights

• Participate in resident recruitment, evaluation, and professional development

• First class of residents began July 2025

• Future academic opportunities with the new regional medical school campus of the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University at WellSpan Health in York, PA.
