Qualifications

  • Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues for at least 1-2 years is required.

  • WSBA license in good standing.

Our law firm is growing and we are looking for a sharp family attorney who will zealously represent our clients in all areas of family law. You’ll assist individuals in a variety of situations such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed
  • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed
  • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases
  • Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
  • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process

Qualifications:

  • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
  • Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background
  • Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required
  • Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants
  • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association)
  • WSBA license in good standing

Compensation: $110,000 - $165,000 per year
