Job summary

Dads.Law seeks a family law attorney in Oklahoma to guide clients through sensitive issues such as child custody, divorce, alimony, and real estate divisions. You will draft pleadings, settlements, and orders while coordinating with senior partners and paralegals to manage a high-volume caseload.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years’ family law and real estate experience, a J.D. degree, and active ABA membership. Strong negotiation and oral advocacy skills are essential in emotionally charged cases.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a law firm handling family law and real estate (marital property).

• Criminal justice background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client files and keep them organized and up to date.

Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist our clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence. Jobseekers should be equally familiar with prenuptial agreements, divorce, alimony, child support, and real estate, and be able to effectively engage in oral debate and negotiation even in highly stressful and emotional situations. Compensation:

$80,000 - $100,000 Plus bonus

Responsibilities:

• Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date
• Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases
• Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
• Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process
• Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action

Qualifications:

• Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
• Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants
• At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on family law issues as well as real estate (determining marital property) is necessary
• 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position
• Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background
