Duties

• Conduct legal research using tools like LexisNexis to stay current on statutory and procedural law updates
• Prepare for and participate in court depositions, trials, and hearings with thorough trial preparation and litigation strategies
• Advise clients on legal rights, options, and strategies related to family law matters while maintaining clear and compassionate communication
• Negotiate settlements effectively to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients
• Manage case files efficiently using legal case management systems and ensure compliance with procedural law requirements

Knowledge

• Knowledge of family law procedures, statutory regulations, and litigation practices
• Strong research skills with proficiency in LexisNexis for legal research and statutory updates
• Excellent legal writing skills for drafting motions, pleadings, contracts, and client correspondence
• Skilled in negotiation tactics to resolve disputes amicably or prepare for trial if necessary
• Ability to handle court depositions confidently while demonstrating effective legal advocacy
