Nilson Brand Law is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Family Law Paralegal to join our family law department. This position is ideal for a legal professional who enjoys organizing complex cases, managing deadlines, preparing legal documents, and maintaining clear communication with clients.

Qualifications

• Previous paralegal or legal support experience preferred.
• Experience in family law or litigation is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems.
• Dependable, proactive, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven legal environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organized case files, calendars, and electronic records.
• Monitor court deadlines, filing requirements, and follow-up items to help keep cases on track.
• Draft routine legal documents, correspondence, and other case-related materials.
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests and organize supporting documentation.
• Collect, organize, and maintain evidence and other case materials.
• Communicate with clients regarding case updates, scheduling, documentation, and outstanding information.
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, court personnel, and outside professionals as needed.
• Prepare hearing and trial materials, including exhibits and supporting documents.
• Assist attorneys with case preparation and day-to-day family law matters.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information with professionalism and discretion.
