  • Able to anticipate an attorney's needs rather than waiting to be assigned every task.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with an attorney managing an active caseload.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and case materials.
  • Coordinate discovery and organize supporting documentation.
  • Handle electronic court filings and maintain accurate case records.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure upcoming requirements are addressed.
  • Coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, hearings, and other case activity.
  • Communicate with clients throughout the lifecycle of their matters.
  • Assist with preparation for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
  • Communicate with outside attorneys and other parties as needed.
  • Keep files organized and proactively identify what needs to happen next.
  • Provide additional litigation support to the legal team when needed

Job description

A Worcester-area law firm is looking for an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join its litigation team and provide dedicated support to one of its attorneys.

We're looking for someone who's already comfortable working in a busy legal environment and doesn't need to be taught the fundamentals of managing an active caseload. You'll have a high level of responsibility and work closely with an attorney who values having an experienced paralegal they can rely on.

The practice is primarily focused on family-related matters, so previous experience in this area is strongly preferred.
