Qualifications

• 5+ years of paralegal or comparable legal support experience.
• Experience supporting attorneys handling family-related matters.
• Able to draft legal documents with limited supervision.
• Experience with electronic court filing and legal case management systems.
• Ability to independently manage deadlines across multiple active matters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients.
• Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Able to anticipate an attorney's needs rather than waiting to be assigned every task.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with an attorney managing an active caseload.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and case materials.
• Coordinate discovery and organize supporting documentation.
• Handle electronic court filings and maintain accurate case records.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure upcoming requirements are addressed.
• Coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, hearings, and other case activity.
• Communicate with clients throughout the lifecycle of their matters.
• Assist with preparation for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
• Communicate with outside attorneys and other parties as needed.
• Keep files organized and proactively identify what needs to happen next.
• Provide additional litigation support to the legal team when needed
