Because we are a successful statewide firm, we have a lot of people demanding our attention, and we need you to help sort all that out. You’re going to spend a lot of time on the phone talking to these kinds of people:

  • Court staff and sometimes Judges
  • Lawyers from other law firms
  • Financial institutions
  • Reporters and news media
  • Pesky salespeople trying to get past the "gatekeepers"
  • Current clients
  • Prospective new clients and leads
Responsibilities
  • Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues
  • Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents
  • Arrange law office activity such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
  • Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions
  • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer
Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
  • Strong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have an advanced paralegal education
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills
  • At least 2+ years of family law experience
Compensation

Compensation: $45,000-$60,000 per year
