New York Family Law & Mediation PLLC, a collegial divorce and family law firm based in Forest Hills, is looking for a part‑time contract attorney to carry matrimonial and Family Court matters from start to finish — including in-person appearances in Queens, Kings, Bronx, Richmond, New York, Suffolk, and Nassau Counties. It's not necessary that you go to all of these counties.

This is the rare contract role built for attorneys who love practicing law but not the overhead that comes with it. You own your matters — strategy, drafting, client contact, court — while the firm’s case managers and paralegals handle scheduling, filings, billing, and client administration. Every hour you work is an hour of actual lawyering. You’ll meet weekly with the firm’s owner to review your cases, so you’re collaborating with an experienced matrimonial attorney, never working in a vacuum. Start at 5–10 hours per week and grow your caseload as the firm grows — without marketing, intake, or chasing retainers. Work remotely except when you’re in court.
