Goosmann Law Firm in Omaha seeks an associate attorney to join the Family Law Practice Group. You will handle family law matters and help grow a collaborative, client-focused practice. You’ll have autonomy to build your practice while working with attorneys who value teamwork, innovation, and exceptional client service.

Compensation will be based on experience and book of business, reflecting the firm's flexible approach to recognizing individual contributions and client relationships.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Nebraska license or eligibility to obtain Nebraska licensure.
• One+ year of family law or litigation experience.
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and client advocacy skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.
• Collaborative mindset and exceptional client service.

Responsabilités

• Manage a family law caseload from consultation through resolution.
• Represent clients in divorce, custody, child support, modifications, and other domestic relations matters.
• Advocate for clients in mediations, negotiations, hearings, and trials.
• Draft pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Develop practical legal strategies and deliver outstanding client service.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
• Participate in business development, networking, and community involvement to grow the practice.
