Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney for a hybrid role in Irvine, CA. You will manage a caseload from intake to resolution, draft essential legal documents, and conduct in-depth legal research to support clients.

The ideal candidate holds a J.D. from an accredited law school, is an active California Bar member, and has 1–5 years of experience with strong writing and communication skills. Proficiency in Westlaw and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
• 1-5 years of legal experience.
• Strong writing, research, and oral communication skills.
• Experience working independently and collaboratively on complex matters.
• Excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Westlaw.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pleadings, letters, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, judgments, subpoenas, and trial briefs.
• Conduct legal research and stay current on relevant laws and precedents.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional client service.
• Travel to offices and courts throughout Southern California as required.
• Exhibit strong time management and billing discipline, consistently maintaining at least 140 billable hours per month.
