Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a licensed Hawaii attorney to independently manage family law cases from intake to resolution. You will represent clients in court, draft pleadings, and develop case strategies, with opportunities to broaden into civil litigation and employment law.

We value client-centered service, integrity, and ownership of your caseload. In Hawaii, in-person court appearances are required roughly every 1–2 months, with flexibility for local arrangements as discussed during hiring.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Hawaii and reside in the state.
• Hands-on family law experience.
• Ability to independently handle cases and court appearances.
• Experience drafting legal documents and handling litigation.
• Strong research, writing, communication, and case management skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage family law cases from initial client consultation through resolution.
• Represent clients in court hearings, negotiations, and other legal proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies.
• Provide practical, compassionate legal advice to clients navigating sensitive legal matters.
• Handle civil litigation and employment law matters based on experience and interests.
• Collaborate with legal staff to ensure cases progress efficiently and clients receive excellent service.
