Job summary

Davis Malm in Boston, MA seeks a Divorce & Family Law Associate licensed to practice in MA with 3-5 years of family law experience. This full-time position requires working in our Boston office under a hybrid policy.

The ideal candidate will manage his/her own caseload while collaborating on complex litigation including custody, spousal support, and asset division. We value courtroom presence, written advocacy, and the ability to work independently within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active Massachusetts Bar license in good standing.
• 3–5 years of dedicated family law experience.
• High energy and a strong work ethic to manage a dynamic, high-volume caseload.
• Exceptional courtroom presence and written advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in Probate and Family Court on motions, trials, and hearings, incl. conciliations and arbitrations.
• Draft pleadings, motions, financial statements, and separation agreements.
• Conduct extensive legal research and draft discovery, managing the discovery process.
• Provide empathetic, clear communication and strategic client advice.
• Collaborate with paralegals and staff to ensure efficient case management.

Davis Malm seeks a Divorce & Family Law Associate, licensed to practice in MA, with 3-5 years of experience in family law. This is a full-time position, and you must be able to work in our Boston office based on our hybrid work policy.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a busy environment and has exceptional courtroom presence and written advocacy skills. Manage your own caseload while collaborating with senior partners on complex litigation, including domestic relations matters relative to custody, spousal support, and asset division. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney looking to elevate their courtroom experience and fast-track their career. Successful candidates must be excited to work independently but comfortable as part of a larger team.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent our clients in the Probate and Family Court on motions, trials, pre-trial conferences, emergency hearings, etc. as well as at conciliations and arbitrations.
• Draft pleadings, motions, financial statements, and separation agreements.
• Conduct extensive legal research (Lexis platform), draft discovery, engage in careful discovery management, and conduct depositions.
• Provide empathetic, clear communication and strategic advice to clients.
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
