Cook Children’s in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Family Intake Therapist to work on the inpatient psychiatry unit. You will perform group and family therapy, conduct assessments, plan discharges, and manage casework for inpatients, PHP, ER, and discharged patients as needed.

Hours are 40 per week, Monday through Friday. A Master's in Social Work and Texas LMSW/LCSW are required, with QMHP certification preferred or eligible.

Will also provides family assessments, family therapy, crisis intervention, and telephone triage for psychiatric inpatients, PHP, ER, and discharged patients as needed. Participates in group therapy, multi-disciplinary treatment, diagnostic conferences, and diagnostic interviews. Provides case management services for all patients. Manages patients' mental health benefits, and keeps informed of all information regarding the patient's treatment and their payor. Available for Intake on-call on as needed basis. **Hours:** Mon - Fri 8:45am - 5:30pm (40 hour week) **Education/Experience:*** Master's level in Social Work or related field.* Child growth and development education required.* Experience in providing family therapy.* Hospital and Pediatric Psych experience preferred. **Certification/Licensure:*** Licensed by State of Texas: LMSW or LCSW.* Qualified as a QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) by the Texas Department of Health.* CPR Heartsaver Certification.* CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Children's Control Position must be completed within 60 days of start date.**About Us:** Cook Children’s is an equal opportunity employer.
