Job summary

Easterseals Vermont is seeking a Family Engagement Specialist to facilitate family meetings and provide in-home support. You will coach parents to create safe, nurturing environments for children in DCF custody, and engage extended family for support, building genograms to map family networks.

The role emphasizes strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work flexibly with families in need while collaborating with our team in Vermont.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years of human services experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and background check required.

We are looking for a Family Engagement Specialist to join our team! Our work is challenging, but we strive to create strong teams and love to learn and laugh together! As a Family Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for facilitating family meetings and providing in-home support to strengthen families in their homes. You will coach parents to have safe and nurturing time with their children who are placed in DCF custody, and support them to meet the needs of their children in the moment. You will also call extended family members to explore familial support and create genograms. While we work closely with Department of Children and Families - Family Services Division, we have our own separate and comfortable offices!

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred
• Two years of human services experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check are required
• Your own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits is required.

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. We are hoping for flexibility to support parents' individual schedules. We support a healthy work/life balance in this job.

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.75 hourly, dependent upon experience and education.
