Easterseals Vermont is seeking a dedicated Family Engagement Assistant to support families in our community-based program. The role involves transporting children and parents to needed services and providing supervised contact to enable safe, productive time together.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, be a reliable team player, and complete training and supervision provided by the program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required (18+).
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, background checks required.
• Own reliable vehicle with current insurance is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and parents to needed services and provide supported contact in offices and community settings.
• Maintain clear documentation of work and collaborate as part of a team.
• Coordinate with DCF Family Services Division; may call family members to support youth and family networks.

We are looking for a Family Engagement Assistant to join our team! Our work is challenging, but we strive to create strong teams and love to learn and laugh together!As a Family Engagement Assistant, responsibilities include transporting children and parents to needed services as well as providing supported contact for children and parents within office and community settings, to allow separated families to have safe and productive time with each other. In addition, Family Engagement Assistants may call family members when youth come into DCF custody, to assist in the development of a support network for those youth and their families. While we work closely with Department of Children and Families - Family Services Division, we have our own separate and comfortable offices!

An ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills (phone and in-person), be able to document work completed and be a strong team player. Training and supervision are provided.

Qualifications

• This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent. (Minimum age of 18 years old.) An Associate's Degree and experience in Human Services is preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting are required.
• Your own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits is required.

Hours : This is a per diem position. Hours are based on the needs of the program.

Compensation: $18 hourly, with additional compensation based upon experience.
