This is an incredible opportunity to work on the ONLY team of this kind in Tulsa with our NAVIGATE program. Designed to provide early and effective treatment to individuals ages 16-30 who have experienced the first episode of psychosis, F&CS is one of about 50 sites throughout the U.S. that provides this state-of-the-art, evidence-based treatment model. Our Family Education Therapist positions work with this multi-disciplinary team to provide client-centered therapy services to the families and clients served in the program and will also be the primary contact for families, emphasizing the need for a support system during treatment. Services are community-based and can be provided in the office, in the home, or a neutral community location.
Under clinical supervision and within agency policy and clinical standards, provide direct Family Education therapy services producing optimal outcomes to a designated NAVIGATE (1st Episode Psychosis) population. Services will be provided in one or more settings using EBT materials from the NAVIGATE manuals. Services include but are not limited to: family therapy, psychoeducation, assessment & diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis intervention. Maintain accurate and timely documentation and meet department direct service productivity standards. On occasions, may need to meet with a family at 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm.
A Master's degree in Social Work or its equivalent from an accredited school. Must be licensed as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the State of Oklahoma or under supervision for licensure. Must be proficient in the identification and treatment of mental disorders. Knowledge and experience in conducting mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning; ability to make quick and accurate clinical assessments; demonstrate knowledge in crisis intervention; demonstrate a working knowledge of 43A, Oklahoma Mental Health Law; demonstrate competency in conducting specialized risk assessment of suicidal and other high-risk individuals; perform efficiently in emergency situations remaining calm, and documenting events. Must work well in a very fast-paced, crisis-centered environment. Must possess a valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record.
This job is classified as a “safety-sensitive” position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act. Due to the “safety-sensitive” classification, an employee in this position would be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing. Marijuana is one of the substances included in the drug panel screening. Possession of a medical marijuana license will not excuse you from the testing process or the consequences of testing positive for marijuana per the Family & Children’s Services Drug-Free Workplace Policy, including possible revocation of a job offer or dismissal from employment.
