Job summary

Fort Bend Independent School District in Texas seeks a Family & Community Educator T1 to lead engagement initiatives, welcome families, and build school–community partnerships at the home campus, under the campus Principal's supervision.

You will plan and facilitate parent/family classes and events, coordinate a variety of programs, communicate with parents by phone and email, and ensure Title I requirements are met to support student success and a positive school climate.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, and coordinate multiple programs.
• Ability to work independently, within guidelines, and in a team setting.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including after hours and Saturdays.
• Bilingual preferred: able to read, speak and write Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Establish meaningful campus level parent/family and community engagement.
• Collaborate with campus staff and community partners to design and implement engagement plans.
• Plan, schedule, organize and facilitate activities, classes, workshops, and services.
• Facilitate and implement parent/family classes and programs.
• Maintain campus parent/family engagement Title 1 documentation.
• Provide input to support and increase parent/family engagement.
