Job summary

SAL Community Services, through the Home Child Care Network, seeks a Family Child Care Specialist to support licensed home providers in the Quad Cities region. You will recruit, enroll, and coordinate services for home providers while producing timely reports for administration.

The role emphasizes collaboration with agencies, referral services to families, and regular provider visits to ensure quality and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree in child development or social work or related field plus at least two years of family/home day care or licensed child care center leadership experience.
• In lieu of an Associate Degree, 10 years of licensed childcare home provider experience may be considered.
• Preferred: Bachelor Degree with two plus years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with agencies and coordinates services for home providers.
• Recruits and enrolls participating home child care providers; completes required paperwork.
• Provides child care referral services to families seeking care within Home Child Care Network.
• Produces reports and projections to administrative personnel within established timelines.
• Visits home providers monthly; documents quality of care and ensures regulatory compliance.
