Job summary

SAL Community Services, through the Home Child Care Network, is seeking a Family Child Care Specialist to support licensed home child care providers in the Quad Cities. You will recruit and enroll providers, coordinate services, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

We offer a comprehensive compensation package including PTO, holidays, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with employer contribution, and pet insurance, with a base wage of $21.29–$23.41 per hour depending on education

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree in child development or social work or related field plus at least two years of experience in family/home day care or licensed child care center with leadership experience.
• In lieu of an Associate Degree, 10+ years of experience as a licensed childcare home provider while working towards an Associate Degree may be considered qualified.
• Preferred: Bachelor Degree in child development or similar field with two+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with agencies and coordinates services for home providers.
• Recruits and enrolls participating home child care providers; completes necessary paperwork.
• Provides child care referral services to families seeking care within Home Child Care Network.
• Produces reports and projections for administrative personnel within established timelines.
• Visits home providers monthly; documents quality of care and regulatory compliance.
