Family Centered Treatment Training Coordinator

JOB TITLE: Family Centered Treatment Training Coordinator

REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduation from an accredited program with a Master’s degree in a human services or related field and two years of progressive substance abuse and/or mental health counseling experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possession of North Carolina licensure as one of the following: LPA, LCMHC, LCSW, or equivalent
  • One or more years of supervision experience in mental health services or social services organization
  • Experience delivering evidence-based treatment approaches preferred, specifically FCT

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASSIFICATION:

  • FCT Training Coordinator will oversee the training and certification of FCT Therapists in the Family Centered Treatment model. Ensuring that staff meet all requirements and deadlines outlined by the FCT Foundation for the provision of FCT. Oversee all certification and re-certification for staff.
  • Ensure appropriate completion of required Levels 1-4 for all staff, trainers, and supervisors, including FCT Wheels of Change Training and field-based check off attempts
  • Provide oversight of all FCT trainers, including site visits, trainings, development of training plans, and delivery of feedback for certifications
  • Utilize a Situational Leadership approach for leading FCT staff and providing feedback.
  • Ensure that all staff are enrolled in the FCT Wheels of Change Training Program.
  • Compile all the documentation needed for submission to the FCT Foundation for FCT Certification/Recertification.
  • Collaborate with the CBFS Program Director in assessing the training needs of the staff and develop a plan to meet the needs.
  • Will monitor adherence to FCT Fidelity for dosage and documents. FCT Training Coordinator will address any areas needing improvement with the staff and collaborate with the FCT Coordinator.
  • Participate in community/stakeholder meetings and marketing events as assigned.
  • Assist with coverage in the FCT department as needed including completion of comprehensive clinical assessments, coverage for FCT supervisor, etc.
  • FCT Training Coordinator will work in collaboration with assigned Consultant from FCT Foundation around areas of growth for the FCT Program.
  • The FCT Training Coordinator will complete all relevant training and make consistent progress toward achieving the Level IV FCT Certification from Family Centered Treatment Foundation (FCTF). In addition to online-based training and required readings, the certification process requires videotaped demonstration of competencies in training FCT Therapists.
  • Once certified, the FCT Training Coordinator will complete all activities necessary to maintain certification from FCTF including all recertification requirements every two years.

RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION GUIDELINES:

  • Meets requirements under 10A NCAC 27G.0104 as a Qualified Professional for Mental Health.
  • Considerable knowledge of the practical application of different therapeutic approaches, group dynamics, crisis intervention, and family therapy.
  • Experience providing clinical services to clients.
  • Considerable knowledge of community resources.
  • Knowledge of the psycho-social, socioeconomic, and behavioral problems and their treatment.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies which govern the program.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes and psychopharmacology.
  • Skill in establishing rapport with a client and/or family and applying techniques of assessing psycho-social, behavioral, and psychological aspects of the client.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and members of civic, medical, social, and religious organizations.
  • Ability to formulate treatment goals and to record concisely required documentation.
  • Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of stooping, reaching, and walking, grasping, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to perform sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly or frequently to move objects.
  • Must possess the visual acuity to perform extensive reading.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and be able to work in community settings.
