Job summary

Prince William County Community Services seeks an Early Intervention Service Coordinator to support families with infants and toddlers, coordinating services through the local Early Intervention system. You will screen development, explain evaluations and IFSP, and connect families with needed supports in home, daycare, and clinic settings.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, two years of case-management experience, and the ability to travel to family homes and interagency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood special education, social work, psychology, counseling, or related behavioral science field.
• 2 years of experience working with families of infants/toddlers with developmental disabilities/delays.
• 2 years of full-time experience working with families, providing case management services, and administering developmental screenings to infants/toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide developmental screening across developmental domains and refer for further assessment as needed.
• Explain evaluations, IFSP development, service delivery, family rights, and due process Procedures to families.
• Coordinate scheduling with families and participate as a member of an interdisciplinary evaluation team.
• Provide services in homes, daycare centers, schools, and community settings.
• Maintain client records in an electronic system and make referrals to community services.
