Job summary

The Achievement Center of LECOM Health is seeking a Family Based Mental Health Professional to lead ESFT in homes, schools and community settings. You will guide a Worker with your master’s level clinical knowledge and participate in a three-year training program ending with a competency exam.

The role includes on-call rotation, evenings/weekends as needed, and a structured mentorship with weekly supervision to promote professional growth and impact.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Education, Rehabilitation Counseling or related discipline is required, OR a Bachelor's with certification as Mental Health Family Based Worker.
  • At least 2 years of experience working within CASSP or related experience with children/adolescents.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and direct the implementation of the child’s treatment plan.
  • Participate in internal and external team meetings.
  • Build collaborative relationships within the social service community.
  • Demonstrate good writing skills.
  • Receive advance training in FBMH topics.
  • Receive ample support and mentorship through weekly supervision.
  • Participate as an integral part of a team.

Position Description

The FBMH Professional will effectively work as a team lead with their partner and supervisor to provide Eco‑Systemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT) to children and families. ESFT will be provided in the home, school, and community environments. The Professional should demonstrate a master’s level clinical knowledge base to provide direction and guidance to the Worker as needed.

The Professional will be required to participate in the three (3) year extensive training program and submit for the competency exam at the end of training. This position reports directly to the Family Based Mental Health Clinical Supervisor.

A bonus of $3,000 will be paid out with successful completion of a 90-day probation.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Education, Rehabilitation Counseling or related discipline. (If you do not have a degree in one of the Major's listed, please send a transcript with you resume) OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field WITH CERTIFICATION as a Mental Health Family Based Worker.
  • At least (2) two years of experience working within CASSP system, or related experience with children and/or adolescents.
Additional Requirements
  • Flexible with working hours, including some non-traditional hours.
  • Must be able to work “on‑call” rotation and be willing to work evenings and weekends if necessary to meet family’s needs.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work as a team member.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, current insurance coverage and consistent access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Mandated Reporter and Safety Care Training within 30 days of hire.
  • Provide clearances with a clean record, free from allegations or findings related to abuse, neglect, exploitation or other criminal acts against children, i.e. Act 33, Act 34 or FBI Clearance.

Family Based Mental Health Professional starting salary is between $45,000 - $50,000 annually. Mileage reimbursement, regular pay raise opportunities, and staff referral bonus. Salary is increased with ESFT certification.

Incentives

1 ½ times the staff’s base hourly rate of pay once their annual productivity expectation has been met. Roughly 75% of current employees earn incentives- those who do, see an incentive payment of $1,000-$10,000 annually.
