Job summary

Children’s Services of Roxbury, Inc. is seeking a FIT Family Partner to deliver intensive, community-based behavioral health support to youth under 21 with Serious Emotional Disturbance and their families.

You will use lived experience to mentor caregivers, advocate for services, and strengthen family engagement in treatment. The role focuses on empowering families to navigate systems, build sustainable networks, and participate in care planning, with duties including crisis support,

Qualifications

• Lived experience as a parent/caregiver of a child with emotional/behavioral/mental health needs is required.
• Minimum one of: HS diploma or related degree with relevant experience.
• Vaccination requirements per health regulations (influenza & Covid-19).

Responsibilities

• Engage caregivers in home and community settings to support treatment goals.
• Provide peer mentoring, encouragement, and hope to parents/caregivers of children with SED.
• Navigate child-serving systems and connect families to community resources.
• Model and coach effective parenting and problem-solving strategies.
• Co-facilitate family meetings and caregiver support activities with the FIT Clinician.
