Family and Matrimonial Law Associate Attorney

Cardi & Edgar LLP provides knowledgeable and sophisticated counsel across Family and Matrimonial Law, Criminal Defense, and Civil Litigation. Our firm is dedicated to helping clients manage separation and divorce effectively, through settlement when possible and aggressive litigation when necessary. We bring substantial experience in criminal defense across various levels of courts, including federal, New York State, and local. Additionally, our civil litigation services are designed to make decisive litigation accessible to smaller businesses and individuals.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Associate Attorney specializing in Family and Matrimonial Law at Cardi & Edgar LLP. The role is based in the New York City, with some flexibility for remote work. You will be responsible for handling all aspects of divorce and family law cases from inception through completion including, but not limited to, drafting motions, conducting legal research, and providing legal counsel. Daily tasks include discovery, drafting motions, attending court hearings, negotiating settlements, drafting agreements, deposition preparation, trial preparation, and communicating with clients. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Three or more years' experience in Family and Matrimonial Law.
• Proficient in legal document preparation, legal research, and writing.
• Ability to address complex legal Issues effectively.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills for client interactions and courtroom presentations.
• Must be admitted to theNew York State Bar.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
