• Teach assigned Family and Consumer Sciences courses, including nutrition and wellness, food preparation, child development, interpersonal relationships, consumer education, and related career pathways.
• Design hands-on lessons and projects that connect classroom learning to everyday life and future careers.
• Establish clear learning goals, assess student understanding, and provide timely feedback.
• Adjust instruction to meet students’ learning needs and implement required accommodations.
• Teach and reinforce safe practices for food preparation, sanitation, equipment use, and laboratory activities.
• Maintain an organized classroom and laboratory, manage supplies and equipment, and communicate purchasing and maintenance needs.
• Promote responsibility, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and other employability skills.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and grades.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and strengthen course offerings.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and other assigned school responsibilities.
