About The Role
As a Family Advocate for Indiana Donor Network, you will be responsible for initiating donation conversations with the families of potential donors in a critical care setting. You will respond to referrals from local hospitals to collect and communicate data, and evaluate referrals called in by hospital staff. You'll be given the opportunity to facilitate the donation process and support donor families, as needed. The position covers a large geographic territory located primarily in central and northern Indiana.
Shift Information
This is a mid-shift position working either 12pm to 12am or 1pm to 1am. The position requires three 12-hour shifts per week including 2 weekends per month. One shift per pay period would be followed by a 12-hour call shift.
Who We’re Looking For
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, or relevant education and experience in a social services or a clinical or related field. Experience in social work, medical social work, nursing and/or respiratory therapy would be helpful. Previous experience in crisis intervention, grief/loss, healthcare, or donation/transplantation is preferred.
