Job summary

Champaign County Regional Planning Commission’s Early Childhood Education Center seeks a Family Advocate to support families and children from birth to five years old. You will provide family services, health linkages, and care coordination within a dynamic, child-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or Human Development, or related field with 2 years of case management experience.
• Fulfill DCFS personnel requirements: physical exam, immunizations, and criminal background check.
• Engage families, maintain service records, and support family-identified goals.
• Basic computer competency.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Travel to home visits, trainings, and meetings.
• Able to lift children up to 60 pounds in an emergency.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Prior early childhood experience preferred, priority given to such applicants.

This position provides family support and child health services to families with children from birth to 5 years old. From analysis to policy guidance to offering services to our communities, RPCs people plan for people.

Bachelors degree in Social Services or Human Development required or Bachelors degree in a related field with 2 years of Case Management Experience

Starting Hourly Wage

$19.58 - $20.60 (Family Advocate Credential)

$20.60 - $21.64 (AA)

$22.88 - $23.91 (BA)

$24.62 - $25.65 (MA)
