Superior Ambulance Service
Our 280-hour class provides hands-on training to help prospective candidates obtain their National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and state licenses. During this 4-month course, you will learn skills related to, but not limited to, EMS vehicle operations, airway management, cardiac emergencies, pharmacology, pediatrics, trauma, and obstetrics.
History of the Company: Superior Ambulance Service started in 1959 with one ambulance and is now the largest independent, locally owned, and operated EMS provider in the Midwest. We employ over 2,500 licensed EMTs, Paramedics, and Nurses, operating more than 500 ambulances across Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin. We also provide Critical Care, helicopter, and fixed-wing emergency medical transportation.
We are seeking highly motivated and self-driven candidates to join the EMS industry. We offer an on-site 15-week EMT Student Program that educates students and prepares them to challenge the National Registry Exam and become licensed EMTs in Indiana. All materials are provided by Superior Ambulance Service (SAS). Upon obtaining their Indiana EMT license, students will be hired as full-time employees and must commit to one year (12 months) of continuous employment. There is no cost to attend the class unless the student is unable to complete the one-year employment commitment.
This is a waitlist for the Fall/Winter Accelerated EMT Program, approximately 15 weeks long, held three days per week. The program prepares students to successfully pass the National Registry Exam and become licensed EMTs. Direct employment with Superior Ambulance is offered after successful completion of the program and passing the exam. Note: Class dates will be announced once scheduled.
Superior Ambulance Service is committed to attracting and retaining top talent. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourage applicants of all backgrounds to apply. M/F/D/V.
