The Mississippi Mud Monsters in Pearl, Mississippi, are offering a Fall/Winter Graphic Design Intern role. You will help bring our events, marketing campaigns, and future baseball season to life visually.

You’ll design graphics that people actually see, support Southern Lights and other special events, and help us prepare for the upcoming baseball season.

Qualifications

• Graphic design experience is required.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is required.
• Video editing or motion graphics experience is preferred but not required.
• Undergraduate or graduate student, preferably junior level or above.
• Ability to commit to the full duration of the internship.
• Availability to work occasional nights, weekends, and holidays, particularly during Southern Lights.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• High level of motivation and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Design graphic projects for social media, website, email, advertising, signage, and promotional campaigns.
• Develop creative assets for Southern Lights, including event promotions, digital graphics, and on-site visuals.
• Assist with video board graphics and other visual elements for special events.
• Support the development of marketing materials, promotional campaigns, and creative projects for the upcoming baseball season.
• Assist in developing billboard creative and advertising campaigns.
• Help maintain and organize graphic assets, templates, and brand materials.
• Support live event production and presentation during Southern Lights and other ballpark activities.
• Work with our marketing and operations teams to support special events and community initiatives.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Throughout the fall and winter, Trustmark Park stays busy with special events, community activities, offseason projects, and Southern Lights, our annual holiday lights experience. We believe everything we do should look, feel, and sound fun. From social media and advertising to event signage and what guests experience throughout the ballpark, visuals play a huge role in how people connect with our organization. This role sits at the intersection of creativity, marketing, and event production.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for a creative, motivated student who wants real-world experience inside the day-to-day operation of a professional baseball team during the offseason.

As our Fall/Winter Graphic Design Intern, you will help bring our events, marketing campaigns, and future baseball season to life visually.

This is a seasonal internship covering the fall and winter months. Preference will be given to candidates available for the full duration of the internship.

The Details

• Seasonal fall/winter internship based at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Mississippi.
• Base compensation: $750 per month.
• Additional Southern Lights compensation: $8 per hour for hours worked during evening Southern Lights events, in addition to the monthly compensation.
• Evening Southern Lights event shifts will be scheduled based on event needs and availability.
• This role offers hands-on creative experience, exposure to live event production, and the opportunity to contribute to both a professional baseball organization and one of the area's seasonal entertainment experiences.
