Job summary

Clean Wisconsin is seeking fall research interns to join our science team in Madison. Interns will assist with a range of tasks supporting our clean air, energy and water initiatives.

Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing data to support campaign positions, synthesizing information for internal and public education, and preparing technical briefings and factsheets. Strong writing and analytical skills, plus interest in Wisconsin environmental issues, are required.

Qualifications

• Completed coursework or related background in environmental sciences, public health, political/governmental or other related fields.
• Strong writing, verbal and analytical skills.
• Interest in addressing environmental issues facing Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Assist Clean Wisconsin’s science team with data gathering and analysis to support campaign program positions.
• Synthesize information related to campaigns for internal use or public education.
• Analyze permits, applications, and other technical documents.
• Compose technical briefings and factsheets.

Interns will assist Clean Wisconsin’s science team in a variety of tasks in support of our clean air, clean energy and clean water work.

General responsibilities for the Research Internships may include gathering and analyzing data needed to support campaign program positions; synthesizing information related to campaigns for internal use or public education; analyzing permits, applications, and other technical documents; and composing technical briefings and factsheets.

Requirements

• Completed coursework or other relevant background knowledge/experience in environmental sciences, public health, political/governmental or other related fields
• Strong writing, verbal and analytical skills
• Interest in, and commitment to, addressing environmental issues facing Wisconsin
• Ability to commit at least 10-15 hours per week for the fall semester
