Job summary

FGS Global in Washington, DC seeks a part-time fall intern for the Research & Insights division to gain hands-on experience alongside communications professionals.

Responsibilities include qualitative and quantitative research, digital projects, and social listening, with weekly polling newsletters and PowerPoint deck support. Candidates must have US work authorization and be able to commit 2–3 office days per week.

Qualifications

• In-progress BA/BS in a related field, preference for 3rd and 4th year students
• Ability to devote 2-3 full office days to the internship
• Research experience not required, but preferred
• Strong analytic, writing, attention to detail and editing skills are required
• Problem-solver and strong communicator
• Demonstrated capacity for communication, teamwork and collegiality within a tight-knit team

Responsibilities

• Assist with qualitative research such as focus groups and in-depth interviews
• Conduct quantitative research such as online surveys
• Engage in digital research projects and social media listening
• Write and distribute a weekly polling newsletter
• Assist with public opinion PowerPoint decks published on the FGS Global website
• Provide general note-taking and support to the Insights team
