Job summary

Swift Textile Metalizing (STM) in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a Quality Intern for Fall. The role targets students or recent grads undergoing supervised on-the-job training in aerospace, manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial engineering.

The internship runs 12–16 weeks with 20–40 hours per week. Key duties include supporting business functions, data gathering, engineering support across manufacturing, testing, quality and design teams, and training material preparation.

Qualifications

  • Education: Secondary Certificate/HS Diploma/GED and at least two years of schooling pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in aerospace, manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations

Responsibilities

  • Provides business support to an assigned functional area
  • Assists with data gathering, research, and maintaining databases/files
  • Provides engineering support for manufacturing, testing, quality and design engineering groups
  • Supports team daily operations by learning and participating in various activities
  • Participates in preparation and delivery of training materials
  • Opens, sorts and routes incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.
