Applitrack is seeking a Fall Play Director for the Middle School to direct the annual fall production, organize student auditions, cast performers, and plan rehearsals. The role collaborates with the Director of Fine, Visual & Performing Arts and middle school administration to deliver a high quality theatrical experience.

This stipend position emphasizes student leadership, teamwork, and growth, with responsibilities outside the regular school day and weekend events.

Qualifications

• Experience directing theatrical productions, particularly at the secondary level.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical staff and performing arts colleagues.
• Experience working with and mentoring middle school students.
• Ability to lead rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and performances outside of the regular school day.

Responsibilities

• Select and direct the fall play with appropriate staff.
• Organize auditions and cast students.
• Plan and lead rehearsals and develop schedules.
• Prepare students for technical rehearsals and performances.
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers to meet production needs.
• Coordinate costumes, sets, props, and lighting timelines.
• Communicate schedules and deadlines to the team.
• Promote the production within the school community.
