Job summary

Westfield Public Schools is seeking a qualified candidate to run after-school intramurals at WHS in Westfield, MA. The role runs weekdays from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM for three weeks (Nov. 2–25) with workouts that may be casual or organized.

The candidate will work with the Athletic Director to ensure safety and structure across sessions. The ideal candidate has experience with high school students in an athletic setting, can supervise the program end-to-end, and will submit a letter of interest and

Qualifications

Emotional stability and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Ability and willingness to serve as a positive role model for high school students.
Knowledge of and ability to teach the theory and practice of the sport within the abilities of secondary school-age students.
Emphasis on teamwork, rules, sportsmanship, and sport knowledge.
Willingness to work cooperatively with coaching staff and school administrators.

Responsibilities

Lead WHS intramurals in the WHS gym on weekdays, 2:00 PM–4:00 PM, November 2–25.
Oversee the three-week intramural program from start to finish.
Collaborate with the WPS Athletic Director to ensure safe, organized sessions.
