Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions invites undergraduates and graduate students to join our Fall Co-op Program in Bloomington, IN. You will contribute to automation projects using Ignition SCADA, PLCs, and SCW, supporting manufacturing efficiency and compliance.

You'll collaborate with industry professionals, learn quickly, and gain exposure to clinical research and manufacturing processes through hands-on projects and leadership sessions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS or MS in Automation/Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student.
• Strong understanding of process automation, industrial controls (PLC/SCADA), and data analysis.
• Experience with Python or MATLAB is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with thorough approach to tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and proactive collaboration.
• Proven critical thinking and creativity in solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions using data collection, analysis, and visualization.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and drive digital transformation; troubleshoot and test automated systems for functionality and compliance.
