Job summary

Texas A&M International University is seeking fall adjunct faculty in Medical Laboratory Science for lecture and laboratory teaching on campus in Laredo, Texas. The position requires a regular on-campus presence and may involve teaching up to six semester hours per schedule.

Successful candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science and MLS certification (ASCP/ASCPi); preferred are a Master's degree and prior teaching experience.

Job Description

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences seeks to establish a pool of qualified applicants for future, part-time Adjunct Faculty appointments Medical Laboratory Science for lecture and/or laboratory teaching (on campus). Successful applicants may teach up to six (6) semester credit hours within the required discipline in-person as dictated by program, course schedule, and student demand; hold office hours; and assist students as needed. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science (or closely related field)
• Certification as MLS from ASCP (or ASCPi)

• Master's degree in medical laboratory science (or closely related field)
• Previous teaching experience

• These temporary appointments may be for the Fall 2026 semester and/or any applicable Spring 2026
