Job summary

Gray Media in Jonesboro, AR is launching the Training Program Fall '26 - KAIT, a paid 10-week internship across News, MMJ, production, sports, weather and sales. You’ll work 25 hours per week with real assignments that may air online, while building a professional portfolio.

You’ll be mentored by seasoned pros and can pursue full-time opportunities within Gray Media’s 117-station network after completion.

Qualifications

Be currently enrolled in a college/university (preferred Junior/Senior)
Strong work ethic and organizational skills
Pursuing a degree in Journalism/Communications, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, News, Sports, or related fields with hands-on experience in local media

Responsibilities

Own the role: Step into producer/MMJ/meteorologist or media sales role and handle real-world assignments
Drive digital engagement: Create content for social media, streaming apps, and web stories
Collaborate with seasoned professionals and gain industry insights
Commit to the craft: Dedicate 25 hours per week for 10 weeks to build a portfolio
Make an impact: Tell stories that matter to the community and help local businesses grow
