Job summary

Pinion invites motivated accounting students to join as a paid, part-time internship in Kansas. You’ll gain hands-on experience across tax and audit while working with professionals who value collaboration and growth. This in-office role requires 24 hours weekly, and eligibility excludes sponsorship. Successful interns may be considered for future opportunities within Pinion.

Start date August 10, 2027 and ends October 1, 2027, with deadlines for university applicants. Compensation is hourly.

Qualifications

• Education: Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in Accounting or enrolled in an Accounting certificate program.
• GPA 3.0 or higher in major and overall.
• Hours: Available to work 24 hours per week (part-time).
• Location: Fully in the office.
• Employment Eligibility: This role is not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Assist with financial statement preparation, audits, general accounting, and special projects.
• Apply academic knowledge to real client work while managing priorities and deadlines.
• Participate in client meetings and collaborate with professionals across multiple levels of the firm.
• Utilize technology and data tools to deliver accurate, efficient results.
• Build lasting relationships with fellow interns, mentors, and firm leaders.

Compensation:

In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $25 to $27 per hour.
