Job summary

BRG is seeking an Associate to join a team delivering data-driven insights for high-stakes legal, business, and policy matters. You will source and curate large datasets, evaluate market structure, build econometric models, forecast outcomes, and prepare rigorous work products for clients and expert reports.

You will grow through dedicated mentors, training programs, hands-on learning opportunities, and support from accomplished experts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Business, or a related analytical field with expected graduation between Winter 2026 and Summer 2027.
  • GPA 3.6 or higher preferred.
  • Demonstrated interest in applying analytics to business, legal, regulatory, or policy questions.
  • Strong quantitative, research, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-service environment.
  • Attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Experience with Excel, Stata, R, Python, SQL or similar platforms preferred.
  • Fluency with AI tools desirable.
  • Eligible to submit verification of legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, test hypotheses, and develop data-driven insights.
  • Support damage assessments, asset valuations, market analyses, forecasting, and regulatory or litigation-related evaluations.
  • Assist with preparation of expert reports, presentations, exhibits, and other client deliverables.
  • Develop practical understanding of industries, markets, legal claims, and business issues relevant to engagements.

What You'll Do

Antitrust & Competition: Experts in our antitrust practice apply learning from industrial organization, econometrics and microeconomic theory to provide testimony to counsel, corporations, and governments in matters involving antitrust litigation and merger reviews.
