Job summary

Pinion is seeking an Accounting Associate to deliver tax and audit services to diverse clients, partnering with business owners to support growth. You will collaborate with a team to apply technical accounting skills across projects and deliverables, while pursuing your professional interests with firm mentorship.

Successful candidates are strong communicators, critical thinkers, digitally fluent, and ready to work in an in-office environment in Montana. CPA eligibility is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting (or related field).
• GPA of 3.0 or higher in major and overall.
• Hours: 2,300 hours annually, with overtime during busy season.
• Location: Fully in office.
• Travel: 10-15% overnight travel throughout the year.
• Employment Eligibility: Not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with clients and provide leading-edge accounting and consulting services.

• Work towards team goals and client deliverables, as you partner with the project manager to work within project scope and exceed expectations.
• Identify trends and patterns in client information and financials, recognizing potential problems and bringing them to the supervisor's attention.

What you'll need for this position

• Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting (or related field).
• GPA: Must be 3.0 or higher in major and overall.
• Hours: Available to work an average of 2,300 hours annually, which accounts for overtime during the ebbs and flows of busy season.
• Location: Fully in office.
• Travel: Varies by group and location. Expect 10-15% overnight travel throughout the year as a new associate.
• Employment Eligibility: This role is not eligible for sponsorship.

Compensation

In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $69,000 to $73,000.
